Wee Shoogle is a new device aimed at home office workers and gamers to help keep their screen active by resting their mouse on top of a motorised unit plugged into their computer.
In 2019, the company behind the product contacted SBP Creative to seek assistance with developing the brand identity, website and labelling for the product.
For this project, I was responsible for delivering all facets of the creative output. I began by conceptualising ideas for the brand identity that conveyed a sense of movement, and experimented with how this could be extended to use online and in print.
Eventually a clear direction was found, utilising a quirky logotype, sweeping curves and restricted colour palette. This naturally progressed to designing labels that would wrap around the units (which were already being manufactured) and the packaging.
The final stage of the project was to develop a website where customers could find out more and purchase the product online. Through multiple iterations, the website progressed from sketches, to Invision prototype, to a final live build using Wordpress and Woocommerce.
The website initially launched in 2020, with the online shop arriving in early 2021. An online marketing campaign is now underway to showcase the Wee Shoogle to potential customers forced to work from home during the COVID-19 pandemic.
